Sound and Color is a special release vinyl record that contains some of the band Alabama Shakes most famous works. The vinyl contains four songs, “Sound and Color”, “Don’t Wanna Fight (Live from Capitol Studio A)”, “The Greatest”, and “Always Alright (Live at KCRW)”. Inside the sleeve is the vinyl along with a booklet containing special information such as song lyrics and album credits.

The process for making the album sleeve was analog using collage. The images used on the front are cropped images of band members and original type meant to imitate newspaper headlines. The sleeve is black and white while the booklet and vinyl label contain color. This was a decision made as a callback to the albums title “Sound and Color”. The typeface used is ITC Franklin Gothic Demi Compressed.
